Garlic Cheddar Bay Biscuits

This recipe is my modification of a recipe that what meant to copy a certain restaurant's amazing biscuits. (Did you get all that?). Anyway, original recipe is here, but mine is a bit different. Enjoy.

Garlic Cheddar Bay Biscuits
Ingredients:

Biscuits
  • 4 cups Bisquick
  • 4 ounces Cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 1/3 cups water
  • 1/4 teaspooon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon parsley, fresh minced or dried
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

  • Butter Smear
  •
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/8 teaspoon fresh minced or dried parsley

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil. Spray with non-stick spray.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the baking mix, cheese, and water and seasonings. Mix until dough is firm. Using a small spoon, place dough on the prepared pan. (these will have character and be lumpy-they are drop biscuits!)
  3. Combine the melted butter, garlic powder, salt, onion powder and parsley to make butter smear. Using a pastry brush or your fingers, smear this across the raw biscuits before baking.
  4.  Bake at 375 degrees F (190 degrees C) for 15 minutes, or until golden brown.
